Today I want to share with you a delicious recipe for Vegetable Fried Rice. This dish is so tasty and full of flavor, it’ll quickly become a family favorite.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of white rice
- 2 cups of water
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup of chopped onion
- 1/2 cup of chopped carrots
- 1/2 cup of chopped green beans
- 1/2 cup of chopped cabbage
- 1/2 cup of peas
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
Directions
First, rinse the rice until the water runs clear. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the rice is fully cooked.
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the onions and cook until translucent, about 2-3 minutes. Then add the carrots, green beans, cabbage, and peas, stirring occasionally, and cook for another 5-6 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
Add the cooked rice to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour in the soy sauce and sprinkle in the salt and black pepper, then stir everything together until well combined. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld together.

Add the cooked white rice to the skillet with the vegetables, stirring everything together until well combined. Pour in the soy sauce and sprinkle in the salt and black pepper, then stir again until everything is well combined.
Push the rice and vegetables to the side of the skillet to make a well in the center. Crack the egg into the well and scramble it with a spatula. Once the egg is cooked, stir everything together until well combined.
